2011
-2012 Season

The Northeast Orchestra is an
all-volunteer
orchestra composed of musicians from the cities of Northeast Tarrant
County. The
orchestra was
founded in the fall of 1989 by individuals who were interested in
bringing live
orchestral music to the people of Northeast Tarrant
County.
Our founders were musicians and civic leaders who saw the Northeast
Orchestra
as a way of encouraging the arts and providing musicians an outlet for
musical
expression. Our founders secured a D.B.A. using the name Northeast
Chamber Orchestra.
"Chamber" was dropped from the name after the orchestra grew to a
full-sized symphonic orchestra. In January 1995, we were incorporated
under our
current name: Northeast Orchestra, Inc.
The Northeast Orchestra currently performs at Peace Lutheran
Church under the
baton of
Thomas A. Connely. Peace
Lutheran Church,
located at 941 Bedford
Euless Road
in Hurst, is
an active church that converts beautifully into a concert hall.
